Weaverville, CA
The County seat is in Weaverville, the largest community in Trinity with approx. 3,500 residents.   Located on Highway 299W, the main transportation route between Redding (the valley) and Eureka (the coast), Weaverville is a great central location to branch out to explore the rest of Trinity County.  Just to the North is Trinity Lake and access to the Trinity Alps Wilderness Area, offering seemingly endless adventure through old-growth pristine wilderness.  The Alps are named for their high, jagged mountain peaks that reach 9,000 feet into the clear blue sky; clear alpine lakes reflect the surrounding beauty.  Weaverville is home to County and Government offices such as Planning Dept., Building Dept., DMV, Courthouse, etc.  With a thriving arts community, one can always look forward to outdoor art shows, or live performances by local and touring actor groups.  Abundant shopping, lodging and dining are available here.
